Today August 20, 2009 - After recent testing, Matthew and Amy were notified
that both of them earned their promotion to "Staff Sergeant".
Air Force officials selected 15,223 of 30,574 eligible senior airmen for
promotion to staff sergeant for a selection rate of 49.79 percent.
It will take several months for everything necessary to happen (bureaucracy)
before they will sow on their new patches, etc.
